Have you ever had a peanut butter chocolate chip perfect bar? These taste like them, only better! Basically, it is peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough that is gluten-free, dairy-free, made with good for you healthy fats, and a satisfying dose of protein.
Peanut butter collagen bites are perfect for a pre-workout or post-workout snack, afternoon pick me up, or as a no bake dessert.
I love that these treats require no baking and are made with only 5 real food ingredients. Whip up 26 healthy protein bites in just 10 minutes.
Real food, filling, and easy to make-what is not to love?
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Collagen Bites
1 cup peanut butter (natural kind with only peanuts & salt)
1/4 cup honey
4 scoops collagen peptides
1/4 cup coconut flour
2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (or cacao nibs)
Add 1 cup peanut butter and 1/4 cup honey to to a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave for 30 second to 1 min and stir together.
Mix in 4 scoops of collagen peptides and 1/4 cup coconut flour.
After dry ingredients are mixed in and cooled (can put in fridge/freezer for a moment to speed up the process) add 2 tablespoon mini chocolate chips and maybe a few extra if you are a chocolate monster.
Roll into balls and freeze. If dough it too soft put in the freezer for a few moments then roll into balls.
Stash in the freezer and enjoy!
I was curious about the nutrition on these delicious little bites as they are just so popable (is that a word?) I calculated that each peanut butter chocolate chip collagen bite is only 85 calories with 4 grams of protein! Which is pretty amazing saying they taste straight up like cookie dough. It's hard not to eat all the dough as you roll them, but they taste even better chilled if you can hold out.
I don't count macros anymore, but these bites have only 85 calories with 6 grams of carbs, 5 grams of fat, and 4 grams of protein. No matter the lifestyle or diet you follow you can pop these peanut butter chocolate chip collagen bites because they are gluten free, dairy free, plant based, low carb, and can be made vegan.
