Asian Style Brussel Sprouts

Do you feel like your eating the same green beans every day? Are you bored with your vegetables? Here is an easy veggie recipe to add to your repertoire.

Sauteed Asian style Brussel sprouts are a simple and delicious dish. Want more? There is an option to upgrade them to sweet and spicy Brussel sprouts if you are in an adventurous mood.

Asian Style Brussel Sprouts


  • 1 lb Brussel sprouts

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons garlic

  • 1 to 2 teaspoon ginger

  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos

  • salt and pepper to taste


  • 1-2 tablespoons honey

  • sriracha or red pepper flakes to your taste


  1. Chop brussels sprouts by cutting off the tough end then chopping in half

  2. Heat a skillet with 1 tablespoon of oil on medium heat

  3. When the oil is hot stir in ginger and garlic

  4. Add Brussels and mix to coat let cook for about 2 minutes

  5. Add 1/4 cup coconut aminos, cover pan, and let cook for around 4-6 minutes while stirring occasionally until brussels sprouts are fork-tender

  6. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste

  7. If you want some extra spice in your life feel free to add in additional ingredients to make sweet and spicy sauteed Brussel sprouts

  8. Serve and store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Isn't roasting the best way to prepare tasty healthy spouts? Yes, I love a crispy roasted sprout, however, this is currently my favorite way to prepare Brussel sprouts. Another reason to make these sauteed Brussel sprouts are they save and heat up better than roasted sprouts.
